Who's behind the Manga artwork featured in episode 13 of The Good Wife? I've just watched episode 13 of The Good Wife and found the Manga artwork featured in the episode both grotesque and inspiring. So my question goes; Who's the artist of the featured Manga artwork? |
Hyeondo Park is the artist. Here's a link to the work used in "The Good Wife."

What do you think of Akira Toriyamas(dbz manga artist) artwork in the dragon ball manga? What do you think of Akira Toriyamas(dbz manga artist) artwork in the dragon ball manga?
what do u think of his artwork in dbz manga??
like the characters and stuff |
It really suits DBZ.
If it was any different, I don't think the artwork would really express the characters and such.
Plus, it's unique and different. |
Is my manga artwork good enough to someday get published? I was wondering if you think my manga artwork is good enough to get published my friends say it is but they're my friends so they could just be just trying not to hurt my feelings if you want to check my work out go to xxsailorwinchesterxx.deviantart.com
and if i'm not good enough well i'm only 14 so plenty of time to improve |
At this point in time, no. But everyone gets better the longer they draw. I see my 'style' changing about every five years. Sometimes the changes happen literally overnight, your brain just adjusts to a new way of getting the image out of your hand and onto the paper.
Keep it up, there's nothing that says you can't be making money at your drawing in the next 10 years. The Manga field may be gone (or mutated) by then, but there's always a need for artists. Practice your own style and keep drawing. Put your 'best' into a binder so you can look back at it occasionally and see how much you've improved. You'll be surprised down the line when you pull it out and see how far you've come. |
I really want to learn the manga/anime artwork styles of drawing. What's the best way to learn them? For a long time, I've been a huge japanese animation/manga (japanese comics) fan, and recently I've decided that I want to better my drawing skills by learning to utilize these styles. I'd like to take a class on this, but I'm not sure that's entirely possible within the US, at least to my knowledge. Anyway, I just want some input on techniques, materials, and good guides to follow. Any help is greatly appreciated! |
Go to your local art store. They will have at least one book on drawing manga/anime. It should have a list of materials you will need. Ignore this for now. Go through and try a few of the exercises in pencil with a regular sketchbook. Then decide, according to your style, which of the materials you will need and get those.
Do a google image search to find pictures from your favorite animes and mangas. Rent animes from your video store and pause it every once in a while and draw it. Try drawing characters from different angles too.
Find out about local classes you can take. In Massachusettes they have an animation museum with a series of four or five short classes you can take for twenty dollars a class. They aren't manga/anime it starts out with claymation, then stop motion, and I'm not sure what is next. Go to any local museum and take a course in art. Find local artists who might be able to give you a lesson. If you are still in school take some art classes. Don't limit yourself to one style of art. Any art and animation classes you take will help you.
Drawing ten minutes a day will help you improve quickly.
Good luck! |

What are good sports manga like Eyeshield 21 with just as good artwork? I absolutely loved Eyeshield 21, and was really sad when it ended. The artwork was really my style, and so was the plotline of geek-turned-hero. I also loved the kind of quirky, characteristic protagonists such as Hiruma Youichi etc. An unexpected love interest might be nice, too. Is there any such amazing manga? |

How do I write manga without doing the artwork myself? I know its possible, I've seen mangas that have the stories written by one person and the artwork done by another. But how do you write it? Do you write it sort of like a play with the dialogue but with more detail for the actions and scenes? |
you make a name (nah-may)
which is the same as a rough draft
you just position the panels, dialogue, and characters and maybe the setting but just roughly draw it
then you give it to your name to the person that draws it and they make the detailed copy |
